In art, the hand can never execute anything higher than the heart can imagine.

Asaf Miller

Growing up in a house surrounded by my mom's ceramics and Papier-mâché art, I was always fascinated by her beautiful sculptures and hand built artefacts.

As a young boy (and adult), I loved drawing - both with pencil and paintbrush and it was only a few years later that I started experimenting with pottery. Initially I took a course to learn the basics of working on a pottery wheel and later on I took a few more courses to hone my skills and learn more about the chemistry behind glazes and ceramics. It was love at first sight (or, to be more precise, first touch).

With my background as a Mechatronics Engineer, my love of art and a great passion for building creative and innovative designs, I found ceramics to be a great opportunity for me to combine all those passions in one place.

Relentlessly researching, practicing, experimenting and continuously learning new techniques and methodologies, allows me to improve my skills and to unleash my creativity even further.

Sharing my passion with my students helps both them and myself to grow and develop further, bit by bit, every day.

Hadar Azulay-Miller

As a Software Engineer, I am very much a logical person; I am passionate about science, technology and history - hmm, yes, basically I am a nerd (but a cool one!).

In my spare time, I enjoy riding my motorbike, reading, watching movies (and birds) and I absolutely l-o-v-e music. I also love animals and the outdoors, so travelling is one of my favourite things, especially if it is on the motorbike (yay!) with Asaf and a small tent.

I love cooking and baking and even more than that - I love eating, which is a great thing when your hubby is a potter and can craft your kitchentware to your own design!

The ceramics I make is hand-built (working on the wheel is Asaf's specialty) and are inspired by my love of nature and the outdoors. It is a great therapy for me and a great opportunity to spend some quality time with my best friend.
